Great paper with an ugly cover or worse, a glossy cover. Or it is spiral bound. Or a steep price tag. Finding the right sketchbook has always been a nightmare. 
 

This has led to making my own sketchbooks which are the perfect blend of the right paper, a stunning hard cover, and crisp binding.

I enjoy working with tactile materials. I find the process to be quite meditative.

My least favorite part of sketchbook making is when it is complete.
